  1. Yeah it does miss but mainly when it's up to temp so could well be fouled plugs
  2. I hope its not a coil pack
  3. It could well be plugs, I'll take them out tonight and gap them and give them a clean up, but it's on my list of things to get on with this evening since yesterday I gutted the garage out and organised it so I can now get around the bikes and get to my tools so that is a plus
  4. I'll be having a look at things tonight once skyes gone to bed. She wants her minimoto fixing up too so I'll be getting some work done on that
  5. I did notice that at 4k it has a noticeable growl from the induction its not at any other rpm just 4k so just wondering it that could have anything to do with it as a culprit of something not being quite right
  6. It could well be that its just the phone playing silly buggers with the sound but as you say the only way to know for sure is to hear it 1st hand
  7. I didn't really think about a vacuum leak, could be one it's tubes has perished slightly
  8. Yeah our energy bill is already high enough without putting a heater in the garage to keep the bikes warm, maybe an old blanket might keep them both slightly warmer and stave it off slightly but I'd say just abit more use and alternating the optimate over to each bike each week
  9. Possibly, it idles fine when it's cold but once it warms up it starts hunting/running on 3 cyl and then the idle climbs from 1.5k to 2k rpm and blipping the throttle the revs don't drop to idle sharp that gradually come down. I'd be surprised if its an injector issue its more a throttle body issue I think
  10. Which one you on about then?
  11. When I got back home it started straight back up after I'd turned it off and left it sitting for a couple minutes so I'm hoping the plates have just sulphated slightly and getting it on the optimate should recover it if it's not too far gone. I think I need to buy some pro fst to stabilise the fuel as its hunting all over the place on idle and the idle is high at 2k rpm so the throttle bodies may be slightly gummed up with lack of use. It also needs a service oil and filters and plugs
  12. Warmer....its definitely warm enough well at least it is up here
  13. Well its once more than you it would seem, we've not seen any van action from you yet
  14. Hmm so when would that be?
  15. Yeah I think the battery is getting abit weak, iv put it on the optimate now see if it revives it if it doesn't then it'll be time for a new one
  16. Well I decided on a little ride out, once chain lubed and tyres checked I headed off to the petrol station to put some in then it was out through bowburn, coxoe and a brief stop at Fishburn airfield then it was bump start the bike as i think the battery was abit unwell from being sat and not on its optimate. Once back on the road it was a ride down the A689 to the a19, then I headed for the Yorkshire moors area wen down to Skelton then up to Saltburn by the sea after this i decided to head back home along the A174 and A19 the latter i ended up in a race of sorts with an amg merc of some description id expected him to pull in and let me past but he decided to put his foot down so I had to oblige (it's the law).
  17. I thought maybe you were going to see it as a potential buy
  18. No just after those and just before I win btcc and f1
  19. It does sound abit tappy but I'd guess with those cans on it and them being as loud as they are it would be difficult to diagnose without being there, do you have a long screwdriver handy if you do you can use it as a stethoscope of sorts and you'll be able to tell if the engine is shagged or ok
  20. Just because he was married doesn't mean he isn't a virgin....
