  1. Past hour
  2. Jury's still out on Shadows bike. I don't talk about her issues on here but she has stuff going on because of background, before us, and I'm not convinced I should empower her to be back on the road just yet. Also the insurance is a big question mark and out of my control. Of course she is my daughter and I want to do my best for her but that best may not be back on two wheels in a hurry, not that we have had that conversation yet. She is already making all sorts of threats about self harm because she has no bike, to the point that I'm taking leave from work this weekend to be around and home. I agree about the push bike I will get the Mrs on it to get rid.
  3. Been out sorting the shed, took one of the work benches down to fit Shadows bike in there. Also moved the pushbike to a safe location.
  4. Well it is for me anyway. I'm off to Tuckers Grave for a weekend of camping (in my van) , trail riding and drinking various ciders
  5. Nice one Phil, hope you have a great time. Send us photos ..........

  8. No you twat , mainly because I had two legs back then ...........
  9. Are you painting the fork lowers?
  10. Moulton used to be made in Bradford-on-Avon , not sure if they're still there now. I used to have a Moulton Mini for a while
  11. It might have to disappear to pay for shadows bike. Prob better than sitting there eroding away.
  12. Dunno, ours is pretty rough but must have a value I suppose. I will move it into another shed for safe keeping, My Mrs deal though I won't see anything from it
  13. Reminds me of the time my boy first fell off the cg, then he fell off it again, and again. All this time he was seeing this one girl.
  14. Looks like it. https://www.traditionalcycleshop.co.uk/moulton-bicycles/moulton-xtb

  16. Insurance for kids is crazy expensive these days. I almost feel guilty only paying £130 a year for mine….almost.
  17. She knows that but I don't think the gravity of the situation has hit her yet, not sure she will be able to get insurance. Her boyfriend (18) had a smack last year and his premium is £200 a month now.
  18. Her insurance premium isn’t going to go down anytime soon.
  19. If anything it is worse now. Plenty of time to strip the valve cover and check out the timing chain definitively but I don't think it's that. I'm not going to touch it until I hear from the insurance people. Don't know if they will want to inspect it or not. EIther way I want to strip the forks and check the headstock before she goes out on it again. They look okay but I want to check them off the bike. . I don't know if they will cancel her insurance after a claim or not. I have told her to be prepare for weeks not days off the road. Give her time to get her head straight. Luckily she can walk to work, will put a crimp on her social life though. Needs new handlebars, levers, indicators and paint. Doable but getting tedious now. Bought her this earlier today bit late I suppose. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183006815366
  20. I wonder if it has fixed the rattle?
  21. I've had better days, but she is home safe which I will settle for.
  22. It has rails that sit under the frame and a couple of stabilising hooks, the Harley has a double cradle frame, you can get different mounts for different types of bike.
