  1. No sir, I don't like it.... ? I'm not a radical luddite, but too much technology just takes away the fun of riding for me....but then look at me, I ride a Himalayan.....?
  2. Here's a pic of the kids for my submission, it's kind of a two for one deal with these two, they are never far apart, true buddies ?..... @Pedro let me know if this is bending the rules and I will change the photo ?
  3. Some good pics this month, will have to get mine in tonight. ?
  4. Greetings from the Grasshopper! ??
  5. What a win/win/win you have here.......fun place to adventure on a motorcycle, no people around and a photographers dream location at the end. ? I enjoyed your video as well!
  6. Greetings from the Grasshopper! ??
  7. In Canada, we'll never get to see small children (or drunk adults) running around, throwing lawn darts into the air and then dodging them as they fall to earth, pointy end first.....good times gone by..... ??
  8. Following the Sunrays & A Stroll to Wormy Lake ? As we slowly meandered down a gravel road through the tall evergreens ? and lush ferns, we noticed a smaller trail off to the side. As the Himalayans puttered up the trail, the sunrays seem to encourage us to follow them. The high summer sunlight danced through the forest and the richly coloured soil just added more vibrance to the blue sky and rich greens around us. ? Coming to a nice resting spot we ventured into the forest, after a quick stroll we found a trail that lead us to a beautiful lake. The lake was still, the water was clear and the now we knew what following the sunrays could do. ?
  9. I'm not sure if any of you have heard of or watched any of Sterling Noren's motorcycle films. He has been at motorcycling and filming for many years and always seem to produce an entertaining film. The last one I watched was Beyond the Border - Riding Solo in Mexico. If you enjoy motorcycle travel and beautiful scenery he is worth checking out. I rented it from Vimeo. ?
  10. Oh I know....it's all good. I'm Canadian, so I'm sarcastic 95% of the time. ? They look like fun, but the height for me is a bit much, there's my excuse.... lol
  11. I was so hoping he didn't like it, that it was all hype.....but alas he liked it! Damn it, my bank account says no.....and my Himalayan is giving me the evil eye now... ?
  12. Greetings from the Grasshopper! ??
  13. That's so not a place I want to be.....YUCK Hope you don't melt. ?
  14. Another lovely ride report. The Strom looks so shiny and clean. ?
  15. Greetings from the Grasshopper! ??
  16. I need to ride highway bits in-between my gravel roads, how does the DR650 handle on the tarmac?
  17. Yes I could, but I'm lazy..... It's not really the ABS itself but the pile of stuff they added too the bike to accommodate it. The lines are routed in a silly manner as it was an after thought. ?
  18. The new 2020 has it so you can turn it off, I have a 2019 (no option, just on). It's just one more thing to be a pain in the ass when in the backcountry. I managed for 20 years without ABS, so it can just go sit in the corner....stupid ABS.... Sorry, still a little sensitive after my day yesterday.....Damn annoying....I'll get over it. ?
  19. I fell in love with the Royal Enfield and the look, the simple nature of it. BUT, I really wish I had the carb version and no ABS. The price was right as well. I was also getting back into motorcycling after a few years and didn't know which "adventure" bike I wanted. NOW that I know more I am looking at a DR650....about as simple as it gets....air cooled, no ABS, carb, 21" front wheel.....oh it sounds lovely....lol. I looked at the CB500X, but it didn't seem to have much personality. ?
  20. lol.....good thing you are here @Pedro or everyone would be running wild... ?
  21. Got old....getting dirty never gets old, I've got a good idea for a thread....?
