Yes without doubt the original is a work of art. But if you or I did own one it wouldn't get ridden much for various reasons, if you had a new one though it would be silly not to ride it

It is nice, not sure I like the radiator, but on the whole a lovely looking bit of kit.

They always have decent stock there, I didn't snap the half of it just what interested me. They did have a couple of Africa twins that looked great but I couldn't have one so they don't hold my interest much. They had a Kawasaki W800 there but I was disappointed with it in the flesh, as that is my sort of bike normally. I did like the R Nine T though I could see myself on that if I had a spare 9K hanging around and a garage to put it in. Top Boxes, Meh, water off a ducks back mate

Had a productive morning, won't mention the house work part least you see the thumb print, after that got the top box fitted to the Himalayan. I am not sure if I can live with it yet, fits fine just part of me sees it as a hideous carbuncle rather than useful storage. Price was obviously right as I bought it 12 years ago and it wasn't a premium purchase (read cheapest I could find) back then. Then went out for a bimble up To Damerells to look at the pretty shiny. I am guessing they have just had a RE delivery as there was loads in the showroom. I saw a really lovely Beemer that tickled my fancy plus a new Z900 that wasn't too shabby. Saw a nice looking Harley as well but how many letter do you need to describe it . To lovely old CBX's on display there although well up out of reach.

No I never saw one in the flesh.
  8. To be honest I seriously considered buying a CB500X. Good bike and I am partial to a Honda.
  9. Anyone remember these being advertised back in the day? I remember them coming on the market when the 125 learner laws came in so that people could still ride their 250's on L plates. I flirted with the idea of getting one to put on my XS750 so that I could ride it on L plates as I had it before I passed my test. The insurance quote killed that idea. Plus it was just easy to pass the test back then (1984).
  10. That sort of talk is the route straight to the dog house for me.
  11. I sing in a male voice choir, I am a boy there Like Gods waiting room most practice nights
  12. I'm not, been a slap head for to many years to care anymore. One of my darling daughters reckons I look like a tortoise who has lost his shell in the pic below
  13. I am sure the E5 rack is stronger rated to 15kg, but the top box isn't that big. Just some where to stash my helmet and carry my lunch, shoes and lappy to work.
  14. I have some Richa waterproof trousers that are lined but not very warm, but they do help. I get paid tomorrow so will explore the options, but I am starting to get that look every time another box turns up at the moment.
  15. I can't say much on that front I haven't troubled a comb for years
  16. I have a couple of decent warm jackets and can always layer up, it hands and legs that have been feeling the cold. I am hoping the Muffs will sort my hands just need to get some warmer over trousers. Thermals won't work for me as most of my shifts are in a warm Skoda. My Mrs had been taking the pish about getting a romper suit to go over the top like the Michelin man.
  17. Bleddy Ali Express is emailing me daily with daft bolt ons that I don't need, problem is I am weak when it comes to shiny things
  18. I am learning that, all that obsessive hand washing during the pandemic has created habits
  19. Muffs ready after lying in the shed for many years unused and unloved
  20. Bikes going perfectly mate, starting to free up nicely now it is approaching 1800 miles. Its me thats struggling, although its just a case of getting used to it not being sunny and warm
  21. I know I am gonna have to stay off ebay. All the daft bolt on things I have been looking at that I don't need or want really. I am going to fit my top box though but that is sitting in the shed so won't cost anything.
