A book Pete might like is Who Sent Clement. Right up your street by Keith A Pearson. A bloke who died in the early 70s turns up to help a girl in modern Britain out when she is in trouble. He's still wearing the same clothes and doesn't even know himself how he got there. It was so good that I then read the two sequels and I believe there is a fourth out that I need to read. I think the best bit I enjoyed was when she takes him to a 70s theme night at the local pub.

Spoiler alert, the Cardinal did it. Only kidding, not read it.

I'm currently reading the Mondo Enduro book (got the dvd second hand as well last week), The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell (re-reading, about my 10th time) and finally trying to read The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathan fairfax by Christopher Shevlin, but I am getting bored with that. I usually have a few books on the go and swap about.

I think I used to undo the radiator bolts and wedge it away a little. Been a long time so not sure any more.

I've got a couple of the XRV OE spark plug sockets still. One rusted up badly through years in the bike tool kit, but they were very good for changing the 4 plugs on the AT, especially when teamed with a socket and ratchet. The pivoting part means you can almost remove a plug round a corner.

Odd, you should discuss this today. I tried to test my battery voltage today using the heated vest plug wired into it. The two terminals are a fraction of a millimetre apart so of course I managed to bridge it with my tester points and heard the snick of the fuse blowing. Stupid plug design! So I popped the cover off the electrics to change the fuse and whilst I was in that region I took out the Yamaha tool kit for the first ever time to chuck it in a drawer for safe keeping. It had a spark plug spanner, and I usually find the ones that come with the bikes are the best. It was really wedged behind all the wiring, glad I did it in daylight!

No idea, I've only ever subscribed to a single forum over the years and that was a Vauxhall Vectra one as it meant I could see a lot of the How To stuff and very hand it was as well. On XRV.org it used to be you couldn't sell stuff on there unless you were a subscriber (or even post on that forum) and there was a section with discount codes I think. At some point during my membership of UKGSer forum they switched to a subscription model and now I can't see a lot of the threads including the For Sale section. This is a bit weird because that means paying members only get other paying members making offers on stuff?? But as I only really read it to see the BMW mechanical failures constantly coming up, there is enough content to keep my black heart happy. It's similar to my love of problems pages, love the problems, have no interest in the answers.
