He ain't far off! And since he came out with me (both on 650GS's) nearly two years ago he's stayed well clear.

TBH I don't have much confidence in him doing stuff......he's not a mechanic as such, just someone who does bits and pieces. Last time he did anything was when he put the crash bars on the 650GS.......and I had to point out to him where the fixing points where. Then he cross threaded a nut on one of the main bolts.

No.....I haven't Bob! When I take it into Juan Cortes next.....either for a new front tyre or an oil and filter change, I'll get them to do it.

Figured out where screws go etc.....but I've hit a brick wall trying to release the screw out of the bar end weight. Fucking thing keeps turning the whole weight rather than the screw turning within it. And I found this in the bike toolkit......WTF is it?

Handguards arrived......took only 8 days to get here! Pretty much identical to the Givi guards but obviously not the same quality. I only want them for wind protection so I'm not fussed how sturdy they are. Unfortunately they've come with brackets and various nuts and bolts! And no instructions.

He's been very quiet lately! I think the realisation that he's never going to win TOTY now @Marcel is back has sunk in.
