A bad bike can knock you back a bit......where ownership becomes a continual drama of battling against the thing. The 1200GS being a prime example of that. Fucking POS! So that's why the allegedly boring Honda suits me......I don't need any more complication in my life.

The only one I look at regularly is Fortnine.......most of the others just get on my nerves because they're boring bastards.

A mate bought a Commando Interstate in 72......it seemed massive back then. Stand one alongside @Pedro's bike now and it would look like a Grom.

The curry and mash thing goes back to around 2004 when me and Yen went in a cafe in Carmarthen, We wanted curry......but they had no rice or chips to go with it! So they offered us curry and mash instead!

I don't think he's got a connection with any of the later members. He has met Stu a few times though. He stopped posting there a few years ago, and I persuaded him to go back when the Covid lockdown came in. He didn't post for long though......but as you know, the membership had changed completely from when we started.

I saw a Z650RS at a dealer last year......that was tiny as well. In reality they're probably the size that bikes were back then.....it's just that we've become accustomed to physically large bikes.
