  1. I remember visiting this castle and others in the area about fifteen years or so ago. The Carthar castles are all worth a trip. Great photo opportunities. Unfortunately I can't find mine. :twat:

  2. Nice RR. Brings back the memories. I've been to two events there. A great day out.

Were there many contestants? The last time I went there it seemed quiet compared with how it was the time before.

I was talking to Americans it was hard enough for then to grasp the little information i gave them :classic_laugh:

    I wouldn’t expect anything less.

I can remember my mate Ralphie with his broad valleys twang trying to communicate with a Glaswegian receptionist at a hotel in Fort William. I was laughing too much to translate for them.

I had to explain it to some people i was having a drink with when i was in Florida years ago. when they asked where i was from i said a small country called Wales it's part of the UK and they all said ah England. To explain in a way they could understand i said the UK is made up of thee states called Wales, Scotland and England all three are in the UK a bit like your 52 states are all in America. Its like me calling you a Texan when your from Florida, i think he understood.

Also language and cultural differences. Leeks for instance! 🤣

Why does he keep saying Welsh Wales?

I consider parts of Wales where the Welsh language is the main language as  being Welsh Wales: parts of north, west and mid Wales for example.

That first bit is around Claerwen dam I've put many a photo on here showing that

I've managed to ride that road on two occasions so it must be really easy! Except for that ford - nearly dropped it.

How long has it been standing Alan?

Too long! Probably about six weeks maybe. I think that the tracker draws a fair bit of juice. Same with the GS.

  8. Why is it that every time I consider getting on the bike the forecast is shit, or it forecasts rain and when I'm doing something else there's dry weather all day? Time was that I used to go out in all weathers but truth be told I have now become a fair weather rider. The strange thing is that I don't really mind a lot if I'm on a tour or similar. No choice then I suppose.

Do my fellow geriatrics also find that their riding habits are more weather dependant than they used to be?  Moving to Spain is not an option!

then trying to pose around while talking,

I’ve been following that rebuild, all a bit concerning.

I can’t watch him any more. His videos seem to have more posing and less interesting content. Just watched, skipped most of it, his trip to Wales. Sitting at a table in Elan Valley, and a lot about a cafe near Abergavenny. That’s Wales?
You’re right Pete. Small wonder that people consider him a twat.

He did like the Transalp though.

The police didn’t like his motorcycle videos in which he wasn’t being legal. Someone snitched and they weren’t happy.

Not surprised! He was really flying along on his Scottish trip. He blanks out the speedo.

Do like this chap, found him doing a Hornet review and went one to watch a lot of his content.   Interesting Guy.

He went around the globe on a GXSR a while back, pre beard, and is now doing a series of vlogs of it being reconditioned. Ex cop in the protection lot.

You ain't missed much! Sitting round in a muddy field in North Wales in Winter surrounded by a load of drunken twats is not exactly the stuff that dreams are made of Clive!

The only thing worth seeing up there is Portmeirion!

    Portmeirion? Overpriced and overrated!
