You gotta be missing it Terry?

Yes, I do a bit, completely out of the question now since I split a vertebrae 18 months ago, only gotta sneeze wrong and I'm in trouble.
I really do need to get out on the scoot more though, it's a capable and nippy machine.

It's a shame that they didn't put that lens in a better package.
The sensor isn't that great, the build quality could be better, but on the other side I think it would make the camera so expensive and no one would buy it.

To improve the image quality the sensor would have to be larger so the photosites are bigger and generate less noise, with a larger sensor the lens would no longer be the equivalent of 2000mm, you might notice that the actual focal length of the P900 lens is 4.3mm to 357mm but the field of view due to the tiny sensor is the equivalent of a 24mm to 2000mm on a full frame 35mm sensor camera that means the sensor has a crop factor of 5.6 so for example, if you put that same lens onto a 1 inch sensor camera it would then only be 11.6mm to 964mm but it's doubtful the lens has a large enough image circle to cover a 1 inch sensor.
You'd get a much higher quality image by getting  a larger sensor camera and putting a big lens on it, I'd still love to have a play with a Nikon P1000 though but I know I'd very quickly get fed up with Moon shots and airplane images plus the very noisy, poor quality images as that's why I got rid of my P900

Nikon has a couple of super zoom cameras.
The Coolpix P900 (2000mm) and P1000 (max lens zoom 3000mm up to 8000mm digital zoom). The build quality and hardware isn't that great, but the zoom capability is insane.

People are even able to film Jupiter and Saturn with the P1000.

Aha, found it, wow longer ago than I remembered the video was 8 years ago, so it was probably 9 years ago I got the camera

Yes, I had a P900, must have been about 7 years ago now, too limited in image quality and low light performance for my taste/requirements but fun, I did a reverse airplane super zoom, I was in the plane and zoomed down to a house on the ground.

I know someone who is originally from there, the pronunciation bears little resemblance to how it appears in writing.

  6. 183 miles each way, plus riding around whilst there, shitty tiny fuel tank meant having to fill up on the way.

Not one photo, it's just for anyone who thinks I don't ride LOL

On the way there it was 40mph gusts and shit loads of rain with oncoming headlights blinding me in the dark due to rain on and in my visor, fekin hate that.

Clearer but colder coming back, I haven't been arsed to rig up power for my heated gear, not too cold though, only down to 8 deg C

Here's a random pick of a scooter cos the dirt on mine would give Pete a heart attack

I have a Gerbing heater under jacket thing which actually works pretty well. Keeps body and arms nice and warm although as with any heated kit plugging it in and remembering it’s connected when you get off is a pain in the arse. The only drawback is the size/ volume of the controller and all the cabling and crap that goes with it and having to try to cram it all in a pocket.

Should have bought Warmnsafe kit, only one cable from the bike to the gear and a wireless controller the size of a matchbox on your dash

  8. Get Warmnsafe from the USA, best kit available right now, any owner will tell you and many of them are ex Keis users

Keis was originally manufactured by a Taiwan guy running a business called Adventureheat, when I met him in Cologne it was vlear they weren't bikers, having a control on both left and right glove as well as visor wipes on both, Keis stuff was just rebranded, they've improved over the years but still not as good or reliable as Warmnsafe

Blowing my trumpet, nobody in the UK knows more about heated gear than me

First retailer of Gerbing gear in the UK, I've used and retailed Gerbing, Biketek, EXO2 and Warmnsafe (dont touch Motolegends with a bargepole), advised on production and pricing of EXO2 and Biketek.

20 plus years using, testing and retailing
