  1. Published in: News SRC MOTO, Innovations for Adventure, is now offering a new lowering link for the Honda CRF250L and CRF250L Rally. For some reason, the Honda CRF250L and Rally have really tall seat heights (over 35" and taller than the Africa Twin!?! ), especially for a small displacement bike that many beginners gravitate to. So SRC MOTO has some new options to help get your feet firmly back on the ground. In addition to their 2-½” lower seats for Honda CRF250L and Rally, they now offer lowering links made in the USA by SRC MOTO: 250L 1.75" Lowering Link: For the standard 2013-2020 HONDA CRF250L, this SRC MOTO LINK that lowers the bike 1-3/4" (44.5mm); RALLY 1.5" Lowering Link: This SRC MOTO LINK lowers the 2017-2020 HONDA CRF250L Rally 1-5" (38mm) in the rear. The SRC MOTO Lowering Links are available for $148.00 each and are easily installed in about half an hour with common hand tools. Current models supported are the 2013 - 2020 Honda CRF250L and 2017 - 2020 CRF250L Rally. Additional models are in the works as well. Scott Hart, President of SRC MOTO & MOTO STUFF added: “We heard many complaints from riders regarding the height of the Honda 250L and Rally, making it difficult to fully touch the ground for many riders, which in our experience, is never a good thing for confidence. We saw the opportunity to provide these lowering links to solve the problem, they make a big difference.” {youtube}Wnc2hhqlfkI{/youtube} These new lower links are available at www.srcmoto.com in the suspension category along with other protective guards, racks & luggage and electrical components. A formal Dealer Program is available for dealers located throughout the US, Canada, and Latin America. About SRC MOTO SRC MOTO, innovations for adventure, is focused on bringing you the best possible parts for the adventure motorcycles that you love. 2. Published in: News Introducing the 2020 KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes. Joining the advanced electrically-powered 2021 KTM SX-E 5 and KTM FREERIDE E-XC, 2020 KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYCs will enhance KTM’s e-mobility lineup and continue to grow the sport of motorcycling. KTM North America, Inc. is pleased to join forces with STACYC, Inc. in its mission to create the next generation of riders by introducing the 2020 KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes. To be sold exclusively through authorized KTM dealers, this co-branded venture with STACYC supports KTM’s philosophy of growing the sport of motorcycling by providing an entry level two-wheeler to the youngest of riders. The KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC 12eDRIVE is the perfect choice for little rippers with little or no experience on a balance bike. With 12” wheels and a low 13” seat height, it allows riders to learn to push, balance or coast with confidence before graduating to the 3-level powered mode. Featuring a new high-output brushless motor for 2020, the KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC 16eDRIVE is the clear choice for slightly taller riders or those with more experience. It features more power, larger 16” wheels and an increased 17” seat height. Both models offer quick charging and roughly 30-60 minutes of run-time for an exceptional amount of fun, along with hours of hand-eye coordination, balance and outdoor exercise. STACYC electric balance bikes offer a unique opportunity to share the sport of motorcycling with the young riders of tomorrow. Once they’ve mastered balance and throttle control and are ready for a larger platform, KTM’s electric-powered SX-E 5 is the perfect next step on their riding journey with adjustable seat height and six selectable power modes. Following a successful debut in 2020, the KTM SX-E 5 has proven to bring upon an entirely new generation of competitive racing, which now begins with the youngest riders starting out on the KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC electric balance bikes to focus on learning the basics before progressing onto a full-sized mini race bike. On the other end of KTM’s e-mobility line is the full-sized KTM FREERIDE E-XC, a no-limits electric machine with a powerful state-of-the-art brushless electric motor, zero emissions and the latest KTM PowerPack with enhanced capacity. WP suspension helps keep things grounded, while energy recuperation technology means you'll spend more time blasting across the toughest terrain in absolute silence. A new FORMULA brake system for 2021 features new calipers, master cylinders and a larger rear rotor to bring everything to a controlled stop with confidence. KTM FACTORY REPLICA STACYC 12eDRIVE and 16eDRIVE electric balance bikes and the 2021 KTM SX-E 5 will be arriving in dealers this summer. Look for the 2021 KTM FREERIDE E-XC in dealers this fall. 3. Published in: News 25 years after the introduction of the first ever motorcycle garment with removable waterproof membrane, SPIDI has reinvented the three-layer jacket with STEP-INARMOR, a new technology that places the protective layer close to the body. The outer layers are lightweight, more casual items of clothing. STEP-INARMOR revolutionizes the concept of layering. It’s a new jacket technology with protections on the inside, offering riders everything they need in a single garment. Motorcycle jackets designed with this technology allow riders to use the three layers (Armor/ Soft Shell/ Hard Shell) in multiple combinations for any conditions. The first ever jacket integrating STEP-INARMOR technology is the Mission-T, featuring premium materials and components such as Dermizax® laminate, Level 2 protectors and bi-elastic soft shell for an unparalleled comfort in any weather conditions. STEP-INARMOR jackets feature an abrasion resistant inner mesh layer with impact protectors. This revolutionary concept allows riders to stay geared up when wearing the lightweight armor alone on the warmest summer days. The armor fit is slim, to better keep the protectors snug to the body and reduce shifting during a crash. The middle layer, a Comforce Technology thermal liner is wearable off bike too and includes a Windout membrane to block the wind while maintaining an extreme breathability level, thus granting a dramatic reduction of wind chill effect. Light, comfortable and finely designed, this casual garment can be sported whilst taking a break from the road or in combination with the other layers. A groundbreaking innovation inspired by extreme mountaineering, the external layer is a super high-tech, ultra-lightweight hard shell protecting riders from the elements, without compromising on comfort or style. Handy and versatile, this water- and wind-proof shell perfectly combines comfort and style thanks to H2Out® waterproof & breathable membrane. H2Out® is SPIDI’s proprietary membrane, windproof, waterproof, and at the same time breathable, light, and flexible. The hard shell can be used as a rain jacket over any other multi-functional garment. By mixing and matching the three layers, riders can create six different configurations and adapt the jacket to their surroundings. The Mission-T is the lightest adventure jacket ever designed by SPIDI and the STEP-INARMOR technology offers riders everything they need in a single garment. • More Info: MSRP: $699.90 Jacket colors: Black, Ice/Black Jacket sizes: S-3XL Spidi.comSource
  4. Published in: News This summer, Mitas has listened to popular demand and is enhancing its offering to the adventure segment of the motorcycle market by reintroducing a number of sizes to its E-07 range alongside the successful E-07+ to give riders in this dynamic segment even more choice. “The E-07 is a true 50% on-road and 50% off-road adventure tire. Over its long years of service it has continued to be one of the most desirable choices for adventure riders, as it combines road riding performance and wear with more adventurous off-road trips. Due to its hard wearing compound and optimal performance on- and off-road, the E-07 remains a preferred choice on many journeys across the world,” explains Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, Vice President Two Wheels and Specialty Tires. The E-07+ is a class-leading 60% on-road and 40% off-road adventure tire. It is for those riders of larger adventure motorcycles with higher engine displacement and power outputs, who are looking for great off-road performance, as well as improved road performance. Since the tread design is slightly more on-road oriented than the original E-07, both aforementioned requirements are met. A bigger knobby design provides plenty of open space between the tread blocks to displace sand, mud and water from the contact patch, while keeping enough rubber between the road and the rotating tire. Select sizes of E-07 and E-07+ are available in the Dakar version (marked with a yellow stripe) featuring a reinforced carcass, higher puncture resistance and harder compound. It is ideal for higher loads, longer adventure trips and extreme conditions. Both patterns remain fully interchangeable and compatible between front and rear (e.g. E-07 front, E-07+ rear), thereby offering a degree of personalization that only Mitas can offer to the market. All tubeless (TL) versions of both E-07 and E-07+ can be used with a tube on tube type rims. More info and pre-order: TwistedThrottle.com Source

  8. Published in: News The engineers at Touratech have created an all-new skid plate for the KTM 790 Adventure and Adventure R using a combination of manufacturing methods to achieve maximum protection for this unique motorcycle. Although riders have welcomed the great handling and low center of gravity on the KTM 790 Adventure, some are concerned about the vulnerability of the fuel tanks. While some skid plates accommodate the stock plastic guards, Touratech chose a different approach. The RallyeForm Skid Plate protects the fuel tanks with 4mm aluminum guards that are pressed into the perfect shape using 500,000 pounds of force. The result is a strong shield that protects the fuel tanks from damage while fitting the exact contours of the tanks. The tank guards are integrated with the lower portion of the skid plate which is precision crafted from 4mm thick aluminum alloy. This bottom portion is designed to give the maximum protection during hard hits on rocks, stumps, or bottoming out the bike off-road. The folded ridges give the aluminum material better rigidity while also maximizing ground clearance for off-road riding. “The KTM 790 is one of the most agile twin-cylinder motorcycles in the ADV class and the RallyeForm Skid Plate provides the protection riders want for exploring rugged terrain. Many will also appreciate the way it enhances the adventure styling of this beautiful machine.” -Iain Glynn, Chief Riding Officer, Touratech-USA There are four color combinations available: silver base & silver tank guards, silver base & black tank guards, black base & silver tank guards, and black base & black tank guards. Unlike other plates on the market, the RallyeForm Skid Plate can be combined with Touratech engine and fairing crash bars for complete protection of your 790 Adventure. 17. Published in: News The Copper Spur is the most popular collection of backpacking tents from Big Agnes and there’s a good reason. First introduced in 2008, BA wanted to make a series of packable, spacious, ultralight tents flush with features and solid materials. Their entire backpacking-tent line has grown since introducing the Copper Spur, especially the ultralight category, and these tents inspired it all. This year Big Agnes is introducing some changes to the Copper Spur tents to improve livability and function. The new designs include double-zip vestibules that can be set up as awnings. Helping with space are the new 3D bin pockets at the foot of the tent to help organize gear without cramping your sleep space or ability to sit up inside. Even the fabric has been redesigned, with a sustainably made mixed denier fabric for extra tear strength and puncture resistance without adding too much weight. The new material couples with the high-volume angle hub for increased overall strength and living space. •Key Features: NEW awning-style vestibules with double-zippers provide multiple access options. NEW 3-D bin ‘mezzanine’ at the foot provides elevated storage, oversized ceiling pocket at the head provides additional storage; media pockets provide cord-routing for electronics. Reduced condensation with dual low-vent vestibule doors and high fly vent to maximize active and passive airflow. Smooth-closing, dual-zipper doors with easy-grip pulls allow for ease of entry, exit and quick, reach-through access. Quick Stash door-keeper makes stowing unzipped doors quick and easy. Velcro tabs connect fly to pole structure providing perfect pitch and extra stability; pre-cut guylines and tensioners attached to fly; reflective guylines and webbing on tent corners make it easy to see at night. Vestibule zippers protected with storm flap. Multiple interior loops for attaching gear lofts, accessories and mtnGLO® Tent & Camp Lights. Fast-fly setup available with footprint - sold separately. •Key Specs (UL2 model): Trail Weight - 2lb 11oz / 1.22kg Packed Weight - 3lb 2oz / 1.42kg Fast Fly Weight - 2lb 2oz / 964g Packed Size - 19.5" x 6" / 50 x 15cm Full Features, Specs and Details at: BigAgnes.com Source
