I use coolblack, try engineering tool firm. Every thing must be clean,,i sand/grit blast and use brake cleaner to de-grease ..cover the parts in Cool black and leave over night. Once black enough remove and wash in deionised water drop in clean oil for and hour or so..Leave to drip dry, buff up. Or i used to use to do Ali stuff to but that used very nasty chemicals that could and WOULD burn you, so i gave it all away. But not difficult to do at home. As long as you a safe place to do away from dickheads. Lyn.

they had an OHC motor but no oil feed to the cam, they lasted about 20,000 miles if the oil was changed every other week.. I know i had to *ucking work on them.

I used to setup BMW airhead gearboxes i made a setup plate, i ended up doing 10 or 12 for my local dealer..then it got a bit much so i gave them the setting plate. I used to get a credit on my account that kept me in services and a good part of a new Bike. I still have an 80gs box fully rebuilt in the pit in the garage. Too much trouble these days, plus not as much call for real mechanics skills,,,all seems to be plug it in and change stuff. WTF is going to happen when the chips die and there is no body who can repair stuff.

I have a lathe and a milling machine and used to make Yokes and other bits for people...But the cost of Ali is such that it could well be cheaper to get an engineering firm to Lazar cut a top yoke..Just a thought. If you have a good engineering drawing it could workout not too expensive ..and repeatable ... Just looked at my supplier for Ali a lump of Ali 4" wide and 2" thick..( smallest length is 1mt ) is £257.80p Then the drawing and electric even if i did it for cost..See what you are up-against!! bloody inflation ... I am Shaw you will find anther Honda bike with top yoke that would work. Lyn..trying hard to keep my mind off life at the Mo.

When i were a Lad: i used to take my mates bikes out ( Local Suzuki Dealer ) for a couple of hundred miles before the local dicks heads took them out for a test ride. The Early Busa could do 0-100mph and back to a stop in 10sec..can your bike!!!? If not you will not get close to the Busa.. Some times i love being old: Cos I know stuff.
