I had a duff push button on some thing but can not at the Mo remember what it was, i pulled it apart and glued a bit of metal under the button, i had a tiny magnet in the try..a qwik touch and up the button popped..Had to keep the try clean thou or all sorts of crap stuck to it.. This was years ago when i could not afford a shop coffee never mind a garage fix.

I just use wooden clothes pegs on each pipe trick given me by an old guy many years ago when we used manometers to check air in the telephone cables. That was when i was a Lad.

just buy a roll of chinky tube...i did, change it each year or so. As you have a roll.

I had mine about ten years, two of the best bikes i have ever owned,, Like Pete and Ren i HAVE had a bike or three in my time.

I have only EVER been to a Harley/BMW dealer once in my life, i would never ever darken the doors again. I would sooner give my money to a Chinky dealer the way they treated me because i had booked a test ride on a BMW.. T*ats..

The house next door to me is owned buy a guy who has Losts of cach, and i do mean lots. His wife has the same name as me...( Welsh Wales ) Lyn. He bought her a very nice German car to carry the Sprogs to school..the four seat one not the normal 2 seat sports car. She loved it, but then cos he could get a big discount on the business tax he changed it to the EV version for PartX plus another 30grand..first she liked it..then she did'nt and wanted her old Petrol version back. So 3 months after he bought it he went to trade it in for another Petrol Cy ( Opps ) and the dealer told him sorry Sir we do not buy s/h EV's Dealer lost out because he bought 3 new Por ( sorry ) new cars a year from them..He now buys from another dealer.. Who wants an EV ha!

I gave my Rickman Z900 to the lad a year or 3 ago..still done anything with it..wish i had kept it now. I would have had it back on the road...Mind, they were shit in a bend and the brakes were crap.. in a straight line in those days...Waaaaaaaaaaaa!... Bikes are much better today, we just we had the best then.

We had about 3" of snow last night and the winds got up to 90mph according to my Davis weather machine...Yanky but good kit, i have had it since i used to fly...as a young un with money, then shit happens Anyway, snow gone by 11am as we had rain from 0630-ish...but glad it's over..

All i can say about the KTM's i worked on, and there were enough to buy me a now bike about two year. I used to do jobs on my machinary lathe, Mill, Boring. Lots of little jobs that used to get me a credit ( at the time i thought i was just helping out my Local Dealers) as he was Honda also..i ride Honda cos i like to get to ware i set off to go at the start of the day.. Anyway two years into repairing these KTM's that TKM would not warranty ( but the dealer did ) i ended up with a young lady from the dealership asking if i was going to spend this account i had biult up...(Me) what account? the dealer had put money into an account within the dealership for me for all the work i done for them. Seems kT thingy would not warranty the items that were failing at an alarming rate..i later found out the rear swingarm was over a grand to replace...and i fixed them in 40 mins.. It ended with me getting a part ex ( cash in hand ) plus a new bike from my acount....Local family run Motorcycle dealer...buy you bikes and bits from your local dealers before we loose them all...shit will happen then.

Plus i could maybe even have a few or more bits that may or even could be of use to some nut sorry i mean well meaning person to help one's Little Lady and her high sidding mate.

Does work, i had an 8foot iron pipe on my last one across the wall...not nice if you forgot and put your hand on it.. Like a dick i started to hang tools on it in the summer, winter came and i just went to lift a rat-shit from it..I can say it did not stay in hand very long But as a heater it worked well.

My old 5 kw heater used to heat my 16x10 shed ok...it lasted 3 years....the new one was sposed to be 5kw but i think the barstuards sent me a 3kw as it takes forever to warm up now. I am on my last galleon of red at the moment, you can use central heating oil if you put a couple a table spunes worth of oil in it to lube the pump..

I just hope i can make to next year, at the Moment looks like the lad is about to through me out now his Mum has gone and the house will be his. anybody UK want milling machine Lathe band saw and Bench drill...the later has not drilled a hole yet...i will be buggered if i leave them for him i will cut them up or give them the scrap man first... No bull offer. PS: i would like 3grand for the lot but: Ow! just remembered..Also 500kl bike lift goes up vertically not in an arc..drybollic with small compressor for locks..

Ow! and wear rubber gloves to stop grease from fingers *ucking up your hard work.

I use coolblack, try engineering tool firm. Every thing must be clean,,i sand/grit blast and use brake cleaner to de-grease ..cover the parts in Cool black and leave over night. Once black enough remove and wash in deionised water drop in clean oil for and hour or so..Leave to drip dry, buff up. Or i used to use to do Ali stuff to but that used very nasty chemicals that could and WOULD burn you, so i gave it all away. But not difficult to do at home. As long as you a safe place to do away from dickheads. Lyn.
