Yeah I don't really know to much about them, I used to like the old GS550 and have a soft spot for a GS1000E but never lived with either. I remember that I didn't like the Katana looks when they came out but it has grown on me over the years. Compared to the GS750 it was a lot slower......and the bars were much too low for me.
