Those conditions are magnificent - truly picturesque. But you must be tougher than me. I nearly keeled over from hypothermia in a typhoon in southern Thailand... what's your secret for staying warm?
Heated grips and a flask of coffee

How do you find the trails, do you use GPS/Sat Nav or just follow your nose and see where they go ?

Looks a superb area to ride in, are there any trails Pete ?

I absolutely love riding in fresh snow, by the next day it's no good as it gets compacted and then it's like ice. I was very dissapointed that we didn't get any this year

We lived in Carmarthen for a while, and if store detectives heard our accent they'd follow us round till we left!

That's not a Welsh accent, that's a Jack. If he walked into a shop in Machynlleth talking like that they'd probably throw him out

Welcome! have been to and ridden in France twice now. Beautiful place! All pavement rides, so far, tho.
You should go to Phil's place Rigs, he'll hire you a KTM and take you out trail riding all day.

That is an "incredible" exchange of vehicles.... was to actually visit the Himalayan range?!
It's strange but he only kept it for 4 months and then bought a KTM1090R from my mate

Like I said Tym, find someone with an ultrasonic cleaner. If you had shit in the main jet it's likely to be in other places that you can't see, it's the only way to clean a carb properly

Thank you! Although, 136 hp on slicks off road seems quite enough to me!
That comment reminds me of my friend who last year traded in his Speed Triple for a Himalayan. As he came out with a big smile on his face he said '' look I've got a brand new bike and £600 ''
My other mate replied '' yes, but you've just lost 112bhp''
