RIP Pete. Just found out the news this evening. I thought you had been quiet recently on Facebook, logged on here and found this . Ride free my friend.

Forgive me, I don't get out much. Just heard the news, floored me. I've been around Pete's forums for many years, Max Bikes was my go to for some banter and pisstaking. Exchanged messages with Pete many times over the years, he was a truly unique and likeable guy, totally at ease with his Spanish lifestyle and dedicated to his family and his family of bikers. I fucked up a few times, indeed he banned me once, after an exchange of words, but after some grovelling apologies from me, he let me back. Many evenings I enjoyed the banter and pisstaking, brightened up my evenings many times, I'm smiling now remembering some. RIP Pete, one of life's good guys. I'll miss you mate.

Although I hate to admit it.. can anyone remember my thread on Dell's birthday a few years ago?

I've got to admit, I use Facebutt a lot... I'm ashamed to admit it.. But i have 2 daughters and a wife who use it more than me, and we use it as a communication tool when we aren't together. Fuck all to do with bikes, but I am active in several forums to keep in touch with bikey stuff, invaluable for advice on matters mechanical, a great source of resources when you want parts, and a place to hang out for banter with deranged weirdos who share the same strange sense of humour. Thanks to Pete for setting this up after Maxbikes shut down.. it's good to bounce off old friends.. guys and gals we never meet in person , and guys and gals we do.
