I'm near Porto in Portugal. Tomorrow, I hope I wake up not too late, get on the bike and ride to Faro to meet a friend for dinner. It'll be 1 hour something on the motorway then catch the smaller roads to get there, a little less than 600km. Then enjoy Faro on Sunday and come back North to meet Sofia near Lisbon on Monday. They're saying it's going to get warm, I hope it doesn't get too warm.

Also @boboneleg has been demoted due to being a lazy useless cunt, this was reported to us by none other than @boboneleg. Perhaps an early play for Twat of the Year but we will see.

Tomorrow I'll be joining Sofia's motorcycle club for lunch in Gois, which is about 2 hours away if I take the motorway, I plan on leaving early and maybe take in a mountain road and make it longer. We'll meet at Gois MC clubhouse, have lunch somewhere nearby and then a short ride around the area, and then head back home. It's going to be a long day and I'm not much for group rides so I'm enjoying the idea of being by myself to get there and back.

I'd like to not take luggage and be all rugged adventurer style, temperatures today are quite warm but supposed to drop by 10º or more tomorrow so I don't know what to wear  

I’m spending the weekend with Sofia, nothing really planned except for next week when i’m taking my bike to have a service and a clutch/gearbox/engine check.

Due to the current financial situation caused by the fuel crisis and the slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.

This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).

Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to the Government to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).

Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as the Government deems appropriate.

Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by the Government.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. The Government has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.

Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your MP, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

PS - Due to the Virus, recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

Many years ago I did ...riding to work ...I was wearing the usual bike gear (helmet, jacket and gloves) except for jeans and a pair of Para boots.

I was coming to a stop at the traffic lights, I was almost stopped, i put my foot down and the loop of the boot lace got caught on the sidestand, making it impossible for me to put my foot on the ground, and over I went!   

I did it in front of some people waiting to cross the road, they laughed they found it hilarious, me? Not so much...

Gathered myself up, and the bike too, no damage to either the bike or me....it was the slowest crash I ever had up to then.

Any of you done anything silly like that. ?

I will be going to The Scottish Motorcycle Show on Saturday.

Last Friday in a moment of boredom I tapped in Suzuki DR650 and came across a set of wheels.  After the initial surprise I looked closer at the photos to confirm that they'd fit my bike and they looked in very good condition.  I contacted the seller and after a bit of back and forth I arranged to go and collect them today.

The seller works in GT motorcycles in Plymouth , a dealer that I'd never been to but I was pleasantly surprised to find a modern showroom with all sorts of makes. Anyway I collected the wheels from another worker (the seller was out on the road) , put them in the van and then went for breakfast in their cafe called Legends.

I wasn't keen on the beans ( I should have asked if I could have mushrooms instead) but it filled a spot and then I had a mooch around the showrooms .....

I tried out a Transalp for size, it didn't seem too heavy and I could flat foot it so that could be an option in the future.  I also took a photo of this for @Saul in case he wonders what they're meant to look like without being dropped every week ......

As for the wheels, well what can I say .  I reckon I've got an absolute bargain.  They look like they've never been used , the front disc bolts still had the PDI paint on them and they came with a Warp9 double bearing sprocket holder, new poly bush dampers and an unused speedo housing.
