On your bike , with your bike, whatever you like.  Photos that remind you of a great trip or just a great day out riding.

I'll start with this one..............  I think it's 2011 , it's definitely in the Alps and on one of my favourite bikes.

June 2020, rode from home up the river Douro and south on the smallest roads I could find the closes to the border with Spain, all the way to the shore in the Algarve, and Sagres. Portugal had closed borders because of covid, this trip made me fall in love with riding around my own country. This is a tiny municipal road near the Tejo in Rosmaninhal, it's tarmac but very broken, very narrow, wavy, patches of gravel, it's one of my favourite spots. This was on the way to meet up with Sofia and my birthday was the next day, it was getting to 40º and I think you can almost see that in the picture.

Cheese sandwich and a tiny glass of wine near the Serra da Estrela on a rainy miserable weather April day, Sofia felt like a local specialty cheese sandwich but covid had everything closed. This was good enough and really hit the spot. The cafe owner went home to fetch us some cheese for the sandwiches, northern hospitality.

Near the top of the Sommelier in 2005, we’re at about 2,800 meters here.  I’m retrieving my camera from the top box on my Transalp. My mate’s Varadero is in front , he had a hairy time on the way back down as it had linked brakes 😲

That looks so unpleasant on any bike, can’t imagine myself not freezing. And the Varadero must have been so cursed at!

It was the challenge to get that far up on those bikes. Most of the other bikes there were small singles.  That was in the second week of July 😲

september 2015. climbing up the Forclaz pass from Chamonix to Marigny, around Vallorcine. I stopped to switch from summer gloves to winter ones as the temperature was falling as the altitude was rising.DSC03036.thumb.JPG.8752f2dda2d3f0fddbad7c31d8a32d07.JPG
