Not me, my mate who became a priest.....but more importantly the back end of my second GPz750 at Kent Custom Show approximately 1988.

What made him do that Yen?

Drink, drugs, occasional outbursts of violence, followed by the swelling of one of his organs (liver?) so much that it nearly stopped his heart beating. This was followed by a promise made to a fictional character up above whilst laying in a hospital bed to be a good boy from now on. Of course, religion, like drink or drugs can take over some peoples' lives to extremes.

More rufty tufty 80s bike camping (priest on the left this time), this time it's the arse end of my CX. I was the only person with a camera back then so I'm not usually in the pictures. Man in blue hat is the colourful character (Wombat) who introduced me to motorbikes, a life changing moment really if I think about it.

Fair play.....he looks well now! How old is he?

And does he still ride bikes?

I think he's the same age as me, so 56. Not sure about the bikes, we really only exchange happy birthday messages since he moved ooop north.

@boboneleg How did the new DR perform

Great Fred. It's good mid range grunt and the suspension was superb even with all the camping gear on.  I did have one issue with the cable for the digital speedo as the 'cookie cutter' disc on the front wheel tried to eat through it when it came loose 😗

It’s okay @Six30, he doesn’t want you to pick up the communion wafer, you can stop shaking now.

Well my erection went well, I spent an hour getting it up then an hour playing with it. At the end it only took twenty minutes to bag it again, oooeeerrr missus.

Initially it looked a bit pissed.

I spent quite a bit of time just squaring it up, i have a footprint for it which i didnt use this time but that will be a good guide to work from next week at the rally.

The quality is superb, even the pegs are next level.

The inner is asymmetric so looks a bit odd at first but gives a great sleeping area, there are lots of vents and storage pockets scattered around which will make stowing all the crap easy.

Most important though, I can stand up in the centre and I am 6'4" so that's going to make life a lot easier.

There are a couple of external fly screen windows which is a nice touch and these can be fitted with guy lines to create waterproof vents.

20220602_171921.thumb.jpg.9f48c33b07bfb4e2016e9ccd30c4c429.jpg

I didn't fit all the guy lines but it definitely needs them and I will use them when I'm actually camping.

This tent will put the love back into motorcycle camping for me. I am going to need a peg mallet as the pegs are very thick. Im very happy with the purchase of this tent.

Why not green or something......why would anybody want a Terracota tent?

It’s German, the Germans aren’t allowed to sell green tents due to the treaty of Versailles.

Really like the posh looking pegs even if they mean a mallets required.

Nice to see the joy brimming over.

Happy GIF by Disney

I was worried that a smile would tip you over the edge and you might start stalking me instead of Tym.
