Canal Paths to the Reservoir

XTreme

Recommended Posts

This was done back in January!

There's miles of these canals stretching across the area and the surfaces vary from billiard table smooth to bomb craters.

So you have to be very careful how you ride if you're not familiar with them.

No......they were both painted when I got it. Front tyre has now been replaced just before Lockdown.

I wouldn't waste my time with sad shit like that.

I keep expecting Clint to show up with a black powder revolver killing bad guys in your pics!

Never any guys in my pics or vids.......good or bad!

Except this one.......which I put together just to prove I'm not the only one in the country.

It's a dilemma Bruce!

A CRF250L would be better for me these days..........I can't go far because of work and the wife's condition with her arthritis.

So in some ways the Strom is more bike than I actually need now.

They’re stinky, though ...

Like following a load of scoots on a MAG run. I felt physically sick. Stinky!

We followed a few Harleys into Brighton some years ago, ears where ringing, eyes were streaming. Won't be doing that again.

Followed Harleys? You lost me on that Dave! :classic_unsure:

Here's a little clip that I couldn't use on my other vids because a fly had splattered on the lens.

It's a bunch of Beemer Boys coming from the other direction and getting the fuck out of the way! :classic_laugh:

And then a couple of Harleys in front........but not for long! :classic_cool:

It was the Brighton bash weekend so crawling through the town to the sea front.

Why can"t I get rid of the video?

How far from here are you Pete?

Me and Mandi were there last year, not what we expected when we spotted the accommodation but it was great inside. WE were sweating buckets, so hot. Drank a lot of beer that evening.

About 300 miles Dave! This is where you should have gone.......about 30 minutes from me.

There's camping with wifi and also caves as well......which maintain an 18C temp all year round.

We only stayed the one night and there was no prob with the place. Our accommodation from the outside looked like a world war bunker painted white but once inside it was excellent value for money. The owner spoke a little English and looked after us. We showered and went over the bar and watched the sun go down. Food was ok, had more beer and stumbled back to the air conditioned bunker. Have no prob going back again.

Looking over the reservoir, it wasn't unlike some of the pics you post but then it is a big country.

Yeh.......but it's not in Andalucia Dave! If it's not Andaluz........then it's shit! :classic_laugh:

I expect you're aware of this mindset @Pedro........and how much they FUCKING HATE the Catalans?

They were in bars cheering when the Police were laying into them on TV a year or two ago......they couldn't get enough of it.

To them it was like Wrestlemania and The Royal Rumble all in one! :classic_laugh:

Once or twice a year I attend a meeting with sales guys from all over Spain, around 12 guys from different areas. You can imagine the conversations at dinner, and these are educated guys that do like each other, but even then their rivalry shows in the most interesting things, like who makes the best olive oil, the best sardines, the best whatever...

One of them told me, a couple years ago, that kids from the same grade from all over Spain learnt history from 31 or 41 different history manuals. Each one deleting Spain's feats as a country and finding a way to make their own area more important.

I think the closest we came to that was Badojoz. We wanted to see some of the history but all we got was overheated and Mcdonalds.?

History in Extremadura? Not going to happen Dave!

If you want history.......then it's Andalucia!

And providing you avoid the Coastal places you're unlikely to run into many knuckledragging Brits!

You see the embarrassing shit some of them get up to on the Costas and you'll cringe!
