Fred the Lazy Slaphead splashes in Puddles!

Sir Fallsalot

Recommended Posts

Good Friday i had a day out on the trails, took a few photos but just don't have it in me to do a ride report it takes so long, this is the first trail called Strata Florida a notorious trail for being wet, these are photos of every crossing of the river and some of the unavoidable puddles on the route and the remains of strata Florida abbey at the end. a good day to have my first real ride in over a year out for 11½ hours and covered just under 260 miles  the old dog ran perfect even through the water

I saw nobody all day @boboneleg just cyclists around Nant y Moch area the trails were mine alone it was great, but a few from the TRF rode Strata as well. Funny you should choose that photo that's the one i had a dab in and it was over my knee on the far side and yesterday one of the guys was riding with his wife and she fell off in this crossing he said she and the bike went right under with only her head out the water.

Going out with those two sounds a laugh a minute Fred! :classic_wacko:

I'd be terrified of ruining the bike by dropping it in water like that.

Absolutely superb Fred, the Nant y Moch trails are probly me favourite of all along with Bomber Lane and the others around Barmouth.

This one here looks like a bit of a ' test '

I came down that went up it years ago so new this was the right way to go i was passing and decided to check it out. I did get a bit worried i'd have to go back up it when i came to this though

But managed to get around it by going down the farmers field. I did think it was done on purpose at first but looks like they are having a tidy up when i got to the end
