Ya but look at the mugshot second from bottom right. Can you imagine waking up to that in your tent on rally night? ?

That's El Sid, he scored all the best hippie chicks.

Adored that bike, I'd happily have another...the wife wouldn't though as she thought it'd kill me. I couldn't control my inner hooligan ?

Loved mine

Succumbed to the call of the GS, finally

The power and smoothness of a 6-cyl is fun!

Wasnt going to go the liquid cooled GS route, until I rented one in Europe.

getting older, so an upright sport bike is perfect!

Mind wasnt maturing, so a normal sport bike had to be had.

followed by a slight upgrade

and, then stupidity reigned and i had to have the newest

Should stay away from the dealerships, as the updated XR called my name out.

That's one thing you don't see in Spain Ray.......musclebikes!

Shame really, had a couple of GSX1400’s, a Z1000 and a Honda CB1300. The Honda probably suited me best.

True. However in my head I’m still only 25 years old whereas when I wake up every morning I realise that I’m not. Unfortunately. ?

A blast from the past with old film grain and all.  The bike that I started with, a 1983 Honda CB650 Custom.  I didn't know I still had this pic from the early 90's, so happy to find it.  I loved that bike, her name was Betty and she taught me many lessons. ?. The background is Mount Kitchener, a mountain located within the Columbia Icefield of Jasper National Park, which is part of the Canadian Rockies.

This was the first KTM I ever owned (Fred will remeber it), I loved that bike, so many memories.  I mate of mine has it now and has done a great job of restoring it.

Here's a photo of the dash after two weeks riding around the Pyrenees, who remembers the sticker on the screen ?

@boboneleg, that's the only "road" KTM I ever liked. I test rode a 950S around Porto when they first came out and fucking loved it, felt like an enduro bike on cocaine. If I ever own a KTM, please let it be a 990.

Yes, personally I think KTM have lost their way with their recent bikes.  The 950/990's had a certain dna but they seem to just trying to chase the BMW/Ducati market now.

My driveway in the 90's.  Mine is the GS500, a simple bike, but it was fun on the coastal highways. ?

DSCN0072.jpg

The GS500 was a bestseller in Portugal. Really a cool bike to have in it's time, maybe cooler than the bigger sellers XT600 and CBR600.

How many Suzuki DR's can you get in one garage ?  This was taken about four years ago.

I had two 650's at the time and was transferring all the farkles from one to the other before selling the older bike, on the right is the last 350 I owned (now gone but up for sale by the new owner).
