  1. A trip out to explore the dirt tracks in the natural park with like-minded souls. Only three of us today but hey whoโ€™s counting. Took the track all the way to the blue lake, next time Iโ€™ll be taking my trunks.

  3. Always happy to grovel in the dirt for the chance... the slight chance that it might improve my sense of self worth and bring a little meaning to my presence on this here motorcycle forum despite owning an oversized scooter and having no van. .

  4. Never been before, which is a shame because it only cost a tenner to get in and was much better than the sad excuse for a show at Peterborough (Devitt/MCN?). Couldn't find my bike in the bike park when leaving, like a doddery old pensioner (no offence Pete). I was wandering up and down in a confused manner. Only XT1200 there as well. Turned out that in my head I was about 8 rows back from the front, I was actually only 3 rows back. I could see one of the stewards watching me, I must have looked like I was casing the joint for a bike theft. Dougie Lampkin was poodling past where I was standing when he saw a little girl waving so he slowed down and waved back. I was taking pictures of him at the time so caught a bit of it. I offered the picture to her parents, but it turned out none of us could manage to send it, so had to email it when I got in. There was some very young children attempting to ride over upturned skips, very brave, especially in front of a crowd. I had the place to myself when I first got there, so took a few pictures of the trials area and a lovely hearse and a product for the site owner.

  5. The Deffynog Yew a 4000 year old tree at the top of the Tawe Valley Rumour has it that it may even be old enough to have witnessed the last time that Yen had a wash Just imagine though the historic events this tree has lived through, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, Genghis Khan, and the millions of times Pete has changed his oil

  9. As Autumn is beginning in the northern hemisphere, that also means the start of the lovely fall colours. As the evenings cool down, every morning displays a new array of warm and vibrant colours. The leaves slowly change and fall to the ground in a collection of rustic textures and rich colours. Time to get the snuggly sweaters on and welcome the autumn colours.

  10. I never used to do anything to my motorcycles when I was a young lass, just throw on some lube and go. Now I try to care for my bikes better, well one of them at least. The other one usually has other things to worry about besides general care...... Pretty easy to tell the Himalayan from the Honda!

  13. Last week I was helping my mate excavate a collapsed shed at his late father's house. We were trying to recover two bike wrecks he had stored back in the mid 80s. One was a TS250 frame and few other parts of it in boxes. He sold it for ยฃ450 to a dealer. I found it for sale today.

  15. Morning all. As I suspected, drank far too much last night so no Copdock bike show for me. 3 bands on last night with a grand piano + guests. Best night of music there so far. So today will be a recovery day till the touring cars come on. Tonight we'll be dinning on a Sunday roast with the trimmings although the roast will be a couple of lion chops.

  16. Yeah, there's no way any phone camera will compete with any decent DSLR/Mirrorless, but it's the convenience factor of always having the phone in my pocket. A photo opportunity that I've always regretted not taking was on my way to work one morning in a village not far from the big hangers at Cardington in Bedfordshire. As I drove into the village that morning the moon was still in the sky, just above a line of trees and there was one of the airships from Cardington just above the moon. It looked like the moon was suspended from the airship. I wished that I'd had my camera with me!

  18. Whiteford Lighthouse Wiki: It is an unusual cast-iron lighthouse built in 1865 to a design by John Bowen (1825โ€“1873) of Llanelli, by the Llanelli Harbour and Burry Navigation Commissioners to mark the shoals of Whiteford Point, replacing an earlier piled structure of 1854, of which nothing remains. It is the only wave-swept cast-iron tower of this size in Britain. The tower is 44 feet (13 m) high and stands just above low-water level. The base is about 24 feet (7.3 m) in diameter and rises gracefully to a diameter of 11 feet 6 inches (3.51 m) at lantern level. A pitched stone apron surrounds the base of the lighthouse

  31. Here's one I remembered.....it goes back to 1980 when Graham Bonnet was in Rainbow with his "James Dean" look! I thought that look was great and as my hair was pretty much like that anyway I just got myself a Hawaiian shirt! Well me and a mate went to the Talk of the Abbey in Neath on heavy metal night......all Neath subhumans who looked like Lemmy there. And me with my Graham Bonnet look. I went to the bog and this fucking huge twat and his mates came up to me and say "You're in the wrong place mush.......you better fuck off now while you can". I thought......here we fucking go! So I went to find my mate to give him the heads up......and he'd gone up onto the balcony and was standing by the bar there. As I was telling him there was a problem I accidentally hit his glass over! It started rolling off the bar, so I dived forward quickly to grab the glass, and in doing so my ass must have swung backwards! I felt a bump from behind, and as I turned round I saw a pair of feet disappearing over the top of the balcony! Then a smash and a lot of screaming coming from below! It appeared that at the very same time I leant forward, the subhuman who'd threatened me was walking past behind me! And my ass had hit him clean over the balcony and he'd fallen 20 foot onto the tables and floor below! I said to my mate we'd better get out quick......he said I gotta go to the bog first. When he came back he told me that guy was laid out in the toilet, and all his mates were going "See that fucking poof in the Hawaiian shirt out there! He's hard as fuck.....he just threw (whatever the bloke's name was) over the top of the fucking balcony".

  34. I very rarely go for the latest kit nowadays Pete, I wait anxiously for it to come out so the previous version drops like a brick in price Who on Earth needs 5.3k?, it's very rare that anyone watches videos in anything above HD and often just 720p as their watching on a phone/tablet For the latest kit you'll always pay what it's worth plus a premium for joining all the mugs who queue up waiting for it to come out
