  1. Saturdays ride was going to be just a reccy ride for me on my own to check out a few dirt tracks i hadn't ridden before just outside the Llandovery area, i advertised the ride on the TRF forum to see if one or two fancied a day out and before i new it there was seven of us so ended up having to plot a route i already new. Start time was an early one for me 08:30 and we were meeting the seventh member on route. Plan was a road ride to Sennybridge area which was about 30 miles or an hour away on the roads we were taking. Two of the lads that turned up were on two strokes i didn't fancy the road work on those i had explained before hand how much there was they said they were ok with it so after introductions and a few rules of the ride explained off we went. Headed up the Cynon valley to Penderyn and then Ystradfellte and onto the devils elbow to meet up with the seventh member of our group Here's a stock a photo of the devils elbow A couple of miles after this we were onto the first of the trails and the road work was soon forgotten This is a bit of a tough one plenty of fails here i was lucky enough to see it all Jason here having a breather very new to this stuff he went home early on the last ride with me but he was i'll LOL Steve concentrating hard But not happy with just riding the bike he throws it to the ground and decides to do some weight training as well Even the two stroke boys found it a challenge Steve gets going again for the whole of 5 yards and he's down but still smiling Andrew on the mighty DRZ400 And Paul bringing up the rear finding it much easier on his CRF250L than his CRF450L Stopped for fuel in Sennybridge as the KTM two stroke needed fuel every 40 to 50 miles, done a few easy lanes after but no photos on those . The next eventful lane i know as Lampkin lane named after Dougie Lampkin an ex world trials champion due to how difficult it is but we were going down it so no problem. At the bottom is a small river crossing with a very slippery base Steve finds out just how slippery it is and Unfortunately Steve breaks his leg in the fall Luckily there was a mechanic there with a set of Allan keys to fix it So after the laughter stopped and with Steve rebuilt we took on the exit from the lane Almost got run over trying to video fucking two stroke riders don't give a shit LOL Next up was a steep climb, last time i done it it was wet today was easy compared to then everyone made it ok which was disappointing LOL From here there were a few more lanes with no photos taken, then into Llandovery for the two strokes to fuel up and a sandwich for ourselves Heading out west of Llandovery and done a few lanes I've not done before and onto another little stream which i forgot to mention was a little deeper than it looked LOL Stopped for a breather here Jason thoroughly enjoying himself testing the water resistance of his new boots There was a few more uneventful lanes with no photos before we were on the route home Stopped here on the roman road waiting for the others to catch up Steve still full of energy, when they did catch up the lad on the KTM two stroke had binned it twice behind us luckily only had some sore ribs After the roman road a few of us decided to check out the famous motel hill by going down it isn't any better than i remember this was taken just after Andrew had picked his bike up just doesn't show how steep it is No more photos from here, stopped to fill the two strokes up again in Sennybridge before the road ride home. I think everyone enjoyed themselves they were all still smiling and alive when i left them so that's a good sign

  4. I've never really worried about mpg until I got my CRF250 and it was doing 85mpg, that opened my eyes a bit as the KTM I had at the time wouldn't get past 37mpg . Well chuffed with the Tenere as it's averaging 67mpg in nearly 5000 miles.

  11. On my Dakar (same engine as yours) I did a trip to the Pyrenees riding down through France into Spain with lots of trail riding and it averaged 71mpg, that was better than both my mates DR350's.

  12. I've had the Tracers dash showing 71. 7 on avg. That was coming through France a couple of years back. Think it's showing 68 at the mo. Not sure how true the dash is but I'm getting over 200 miles a tank.

  20. It's amazing how this aspect has improved over the years! Back in the 70's I was getting around 40 from most of the IL4's, early 30's from the Suzuki triples, and 25 from my Kawasaki 500 triple! I even got it down to 18 once! I knew the Beemer was good on fuel, but over the last few fill ups I've been recording kms done, and litres put in......along with the relevant price at that time. I still think in gallons so the figures didn't mean much to me......but I found a conversion site from kms per litre to miles per gallon. I totalled everything up, entered it in, and it came back with 70mpg. That's mixed environments......motorways, A Roads, back roads etc......just riding normally with the occasional burst up to 140kph. I've got no doubt that at a consistent 100kph on a motorway run it would return around 80mpg........for a 650cc I'd say that's pretty impressive! What are you guys getting?

  30. "Dr. Peter McCullough – COVID Vaccines Have Already Killed 50,000 Americans, According To Whistleblowers. Dr. McCullough made the explosive comments during a webinar on June 11, with Dr. Reiner Fuellmich, a German trial lawyer, who believes the pandemic was planned, and is “a crime against humanity.” Nuremberg Trial 2.0 is in Preparation: W.H.O And World Leaders Will Have To Answer For ‘Crimes Against Humanity’.McCullough said he believes the bioterrorism has come in two stages—the first wave being the rollout of the coronavirus, and the second, the rollout of the dangerous vaccines, which he said may already be responsible for the deaths of up to 50,000 Americans."

  38. Abr is a large commercial bike festival where you spend 3 (or 4 if you have a VIP ticket ) days pissing it up listening to music and test riding bikes. Theres also off road riding, talks from people who’ve done all sorts of shite on motorbikes and over 100 different bikes available to try out. Oh and the food n music is good. Covid wise theres no safer time to go out, the vaccine currently works, hospitalisations and deaths are at an all time low and you have to draw the line somewhere and get on with living whatever time you have left with infectious disease thrown into the mix. Covid is here to stay, it will mutate to the point tweaked vaccines are needed so youre going to have to pick n choose what you do risk wise on that front forever, same as dengu fever, malaria, Ebola, Japanese encephalitis or any other infectious disease that can kill you. You can still catch the plague from a squirrel in this country but a sense of proportion is necessary when viewing the stats. For me Overlander is a more enjoyable event. Lots of people there who walk the walk and a far more low key affair where youre likely to find yourself at 1 in the morning sitting round a camp fire of some people youve never met laughing your tits off because urr umm what was that you just gave me?

  40. Last stop was the church at Boughrood which has a 'Dead House' in the grounds I did 227 miles yesterday which is probably like a trip to the shops for our American friends but on our little roads is a fair trip. The Tenere 700 impresses me more and more each time I ride it, it's a bloody ace bike

  41. I was a bit ihungry now so I found a nice spot on the Abergwesen Pass to eat my sandwiches ................ Once I got down to Beulah I took the road to Newbridge-on-Wye, what a cracking road that is, lovely sweeping bends and undulations, my semi-gay tyres were enjoying it. Found a lovely church at Llanafan Fawr............. I took a back road down to Builth Wells and then an unclassified road down to my favourite bench............

  42. So I made it down to the chapel at Soar y Mynydd and started to go up the byway but it was bloody carnage. Queues of 4x4's trying to get around mountain bikers coming the other way. I managed to do a 27 point turn and rode back out, Lots of peeps about looking at the chapel........... I rode on through to the Devil's staircase but couldn't take the route I wanted as the road was closed. I didn't want to head to Tregaron so I went back to the chapel and took the other road. Well things happen for a reason , don't they ? as I was now in a position to do some Dark Motorcycling a la Spanish Ginge ..... I don't know what it is (perhaps @Sir Fallsalot) can help but I suspect it was an attempt at some sort of hydro-electric thingymabob ? Anyway the gate was open so I went for a mooch......... I didn't go inside as it was locked and there might be a Dragon's nest in there anyway There was a lovely small waterfall below the dam...........

  44. My 18 year old has been invited for his jab, they opened the bookings to everybody from midnight last night so if you’ve not been jabbed (and youre in England) get in there… unless youre a freaky anti vaxer in which case then please read some legitimate research or let nature take its course Hmm does the auto correct know something about anti vaxers? It keeps dropping in ‘Vader’ in its place
