Has anyone one had much experience of black oxidising steel hardware, bolts and the like. I have hot quenched a few bolts to blacken them and I like the results but I am interested in doing it chemically as well and have bought a kit to do the same. I am blackening any thing that is rusty on my Sprint going with the Darth Vader theme. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this and have any info to share.

I guess he lives on the shore of the wick river , he's often goes swimming during the summer months..and really enjoys fishing ...

Looking at your profile@Buckster my causine Rishi lives in Glasgow now, have you been in that area? i've promice to visit him next year after the monsoon , he's been telling me it's like a little india , even the smells are the same ?

The picture submission thread will start on the 24th December, late afternoon, to brighten up your Christmas. Then, depending on the number of submissions and assuming there's going to be plenty, we'll have a two stage vote. It'll start on the 27th, I assume the voting will be very scattered and by the 29th I'll trim it down and only the top 4 or 5 entries will remain, so that on the 30th and 31st a winner emerges.

I'll nominate @Saul, for always posting uplifting posts and his positive take on motorcycling, improving his bikes and doing maintenance on bikes for a team of teenagers!

Has another side project, we are plagued with foot injuries here in india , so Im in the process of developing a totally new concept with one of my Chinese counterpart , a flip flop motosicle boot , its basically a flip flop with a carbon fiber toe protection built in ....
