The housing market around here has gone completely through the roof...had this house built in 09...everything..1 acre lot..taxes..landscape..key in hand for 168 g ...now..having the same thing done..a minimum of 500 g ...

Chipboard isn't probably the same stuff you've seen before...in the old days it was considered junk...but the quality has vastly improved..you can leave this stuff for months outside in the rain with no affect now...even bricks houses here have a layer of Chipboard underneath the bricks...

Our houses on the right side of the pond are mostly made out of brick/stone you know things that will last more than 6 months of rain without disintegrating

Not sure what you guys call chipboard..here its called osb plywood...1/2 thickness is mostly used for house..framed by 2/6 studs...
